The Feminist Fight For Life

This dissertation makes the case that true feminism opposes abortion culture and upholds the dignity and rights of all humans, both born and unborn. It maintains that the biological reality of human development incontrovertibly affirms the humanity of the unborn from conception. It argues that the ethical imperatives of equality and nonviolence, as well as the universal framework of human rights championed by feminist thought, necessitate a pro-life stance. Most importantly, this work looks at how the pro-abortion movement has co-opted abortion as a symbol of empowerment while ignoring the detrimental effects it has on women, both physically and psychologically. It examines how the pathologization of motherhood treats pregnancy as a disease rather than a natural and dignified aspect of womanhood. This polemic explores how pro-abortion activists disempower women by forcing them to carry the burden of systemic failures instead of addressing the root causes of gender inequality. All in all, this book reasons that pro-life feminism is just plain feminism.
