For the Women Who Raised Us

For the mothers who taught us
that survival is its own kind of love.
For the grandmothers who gave us their stories,
who cradled generations
in their dusk-worn hands.
For the aunts and the sisters
who held us when the world felt like too much,
who stitched us back together
when no one else knew we were breaking.
For the women who showed us
that strength is the courage to keep loving,
even when love has failed you before.
This is for them.
For every woman who made us whole,
when we thought we’d never be whole again.
